Once Again
Fusebox

Originally touring as backup for Rebecca St. James, modern worship band Fusebox hit the Christian music scene in its own right in 2002 with its first record, Lost in Worship. Included on the album is Fusebox's infectious hit single "Every Move I Make," a rousing version of the song well-known to many a worship leader. Fusebox went on to release its second and newest album, Once Again, this year, a collection of rock songs with a worshipful slant. Reminiscent of "the rawness of P.O.D., the funkiness of Lenny Kravitz, and the soulfulness of Seal," according to the Nashville Publicity Group, Once Again demonstrates the versatility of the band while holding firm to its basic Gospel message. The title track off Once Again moved to the No. 2 spot on K-Love's Top Songs in July and is currently gaining ground on Christian music charts.

Billy Buchanan, lead singer and bassist for Fusebox, intends to make the group as much about ministry as music. In concert, Fusebox balances the throbbing energy of such numbers as "Gotta Have Your Love" and "Lord God Almighty" with Buchanan's personal testimony to finding Christ after growing up amid alcoholism, abuse and divorce. "I was shocked to see how many people would start coming up after shows and tell me about how their parents got divorced or about how they were abused as a child," says Buchanan. "I never realized my words had the potential to have such an impact on people, which has led me to the point of speaking and writing from the heart all the more." The music itself has grown to be an integral part of that testimony. As Buchanan notes, "Many of the songs are really vertical in nature, but they also have a lot of personal investment in them. … When we're lifting Him up with these songs, I'm feeling the words heal a little bit more of those past wounds every time they are sung." Most of all, he says he is "honored to lead His people in worship through music."

Fusebox includes Guy Roberts (drums), Ben Rodriguez (guitars), and Justin Mackey (guitars).
