Under Museum Quality Glass
Pivitplex
Pivitplex blends a miscellany of musical influences-from The Police to Van Halen to Switchfoot to The Indigo Girls-into a sound that evades hard and fast classification. Along with many current mainstreamers, Pivitplex borrows from the rock of the 60s and 70s even while it carries "an alternative/ modern rock sound" that puts it on par with other contemporary bands. Their music is accessible and melodic, with intelligent lyrics and a mass appeal.
The Montana-raised Pivitplex started playing as a group in the area around where A River Runs Through It was filmed, stretching its creative wings with the debut album Under Museum Quality Glass (2003). The band garnered a place on the charts with its first single, "You Know," which remained in the top-10 on the R&R Christian Rock Top 40 for eight weeks.
Pivitplex is a full-time touring band, made of Josh Ogle (bass), Scott Brownson (lead singer/rhythm guitar), Joby Rudolph (guitar) and James Calk (drummer). Pivitplex has played with artists such as Switchfoot, Rebecca St. James, Charlie Hall, The Katinas and more.
